The Korea Mangyong-Sogam Trading Corporation located in Sonnae-Dong, Mangyongdae District, Pyongyang, DPRK, is now carrying on brisk business activities.

With over 20 years’ history since its foundation in June 1990, the corporation is engaged in development and production of Koryo medicines famous from olden times as its main, as well as various kinds of medicines and health foods.

It produces and exports medicines and health foods prepared from scores of kinds of medicinal herbs, including world-famous Kaesong Koryo insam, Herba Epimedii and Cortex Eleutherococcus.

The pharmaceutical plant under its control is designed to manufacture quality medicines and health foods whose effectiveness, safety and stability are fully guaranteed in dust- and germ-free environment on a scientific basis, while introducing up-to-date extraction system. Its equipment and facilities have been modernized in keeping with GMP standard.

The quality inspection and management of processes in its whole production processes from access to raw materials to packing are conducted in accordance with the standard of quality guarantee and the strict inspection system is established in all production processes, so that the corporation has received the State certification (GMP) for production of medicines and their quality management. Supported by strong think-tank of pharmacologists who have acquired rich experience and high technical skills in research and development of medicines, it makes every effort to guarantee the quality and amount of products on a high level and has several patent certificates in possession.

The corporation is manufacturing diverse kinds of medicines in the forms of pill, paste, granule, capsule, tablet and liquid suited to health conditions and taste of buyers.

Its medicines and health foods have been officially registered in WIPO for their superior quality.
