The Sinpho Fish Canning Factory is situated in the city of Sinpho, South Hamgyong Province.
Covering an area of tens of thousands of square metres, it is furnished with the first-stage processing, canning, cake production, freezing and salting lines and facilities.
It has favourable conditions for production and delivery as it is situated near the Sinpho and Phungo railway stations and a wharf, where even 10 000-ton fishing vessels can be moored.
Recently, it has raised its capability so as to produce millions of cans a year.
The canned herring, mackerel, lockington and anchovy, salted pollack roes and tripe and shellfish and cod-liver oil and calcium drops, good for promoting human health, are popular in the country.
