The Sangnong Mine, located in Sangnong Workers'District, Hochon County, South Hamgyong Province, is one of the country’s leading nonferrous metal producers.

In this area are rich deposits of various nonferrous minerals.

The sieving, ore-dressing, refining, smelting and other processes are put on an assembly line and controlled by an integrated production system.

In close cooperation with relevant scientists and technicians and by increasing investment in copper production, the mine built a smeltery based on a new wet refining technology.

Not only copper but other valuable metals from the refining process are all collected to contribute to increasing the production of nonferrous metals.

All its nonferrous metal products are marketed at home and abroad by the Korea Pohwa Trading Company.
